Tell us a bit about yourself and Carina Carina ?
I am a San Diego native with a bachelors degree in Interior Design. My scope of design expertise is vast including custom furniture, architecture,home goods and accessories, art, jewelry and fashion. My love of fashion and architectural details can be found in every piece I create. My insperations are world travel, cultural diversity, music, finding beauty in the world around me everyday and planning new adventures for the future.
The creation of Carina Carina is a long time dream realized. Carina Carina is for everyone, a way to reconnect with your internal happiness and the wealth of possibilities doing so provides your life.

How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I have been a designer professionally since 1998. I am sure that my parents and friends will tell you it has been my entire life.
I am always looking for different, cool pieces for jewelry, fashion, architecture or interiors that give my Client's a custom feel all their own.

Where do you get your inspiration?
Life is all about feelings for me. How places, pieces, objects, foods, music, lighting, weather or cultures make me feel inside is my inspirational driving force. To be able to harness those emotions and translate that energy into a piece is fantastic. Live in the moment and remember the great ones:)
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
I love the two statement pieces from the Goddess Collection. The falcon (horus) and the winged scarab I buy direct from Ciro. They have an empowering feeling when you have them on. The Hourus was the inspiration for the entire collection and the goddess inside we all need to connect with!

What have you created recently?
I love bold statement pieces that look great with a dress or jeans! They are wonderful for days you dress up or just want to look sophisticated with your hair back. I found these birds and fell in love! They are perfect for any season. I always have people stopping me and asking for a card and where to buy. The movement they portray is artistic and fluid.
