I am 27 years old, born and grown up in Germany, recently moved to the US to live with my lovely husband. It would be most fitting to describe myself as ‘caring’. That concerns everything – what I do, the people around me and the world I live in. I love, how things we wear or surround ourselves with allow us to express ourselves. Now I want to share that with you!
• • • Why ‘enrooted’? • • •
Because that's the word describing the general feel of the items in my shop. I feel deeply connected to all things natural, enrooted in nature itself. My roots are, what inspires me and what helps me grow. I try inhabiting that in the items I create. I try to create items, that make you feel closer to yourself.
• • • Don’t throw that away – I can still use it! • • •
That is one of my main guidelines. And it does not mean, that I work with 'trash', or that the things I make are of low quality. It means, that I cherish and respect every little bit of material, that I have and I try to use as much as I can and throw away as little as possible. When I make a jacket out of a certain fabric, I try to turn the left-over bits into something just as beautiful. That’s why my shop offers items of all shapes and sizes! And that’s how all my items are somehow connected.
