This is a sensory set at it's best! Waldorf inspired ~ This unique set of wool toy balls, is filled with organic lavender buds. Lavender is a safe, soothing, comforting scent and it will stimulate your baby's sense of smell. Lavender is also a well known and widely used natural herb for calming. A wonderful way to ease your baby into sleep when placing the toys in or near the crib, use when your little one is upset and needs to relax. The balls are made of pure clean carded sheep wool batting, then wrapped with hand dyed wool roving. I've done this set up in vibrant primary colour tones(red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple). The wool is soft to the touch. They are the perfect size for baby hands to hold. Each ball is approx 6" around. The set stimulates your baby's sense of touch, smell and sight. I will send these toys in the muslin gift bag. It has a draw string at the top. I have HAND STAMPED this bag with fun "ants" and on the other side, I have hand stamped it with a Lady Bug :)**picture of the bag can be seen with my other listing, the Wool Rock Pods** Please note that this set is also very suitable for toddlers and pretend play for children as well! ~
I love natural toys that inspire imagination, and toys that do not do the thinking FOR your child, but rather let your child do their own thinking :)
**The items pictured with the wool balls are not included. They belong to my baby boy :) However, the waldorf doll was beautifully created by Lemon Drop Dolls, Etsy**
I have created this set using the dry needle felting technique. Each ball is firm and secure. I have carefully needle felted the accents onto each of the balls. The organic lavender inside them is from my local lavender farm, "Lavender Sense", www.lavendersense.com . The wool batting is purchased from a local sheep farm, Cedarview Farms. They are pesticide free, hormone free and free range. They also practice cruelty free sheering. As well, some of the wool roving I've used for this set was purchased from a fellow etsy shop, who hand dyes her wool from her own flock of sheep,~ jstforewe~. The rest of the roving was purchased from a small independent yarn supply store near my home.
Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to ask any questions, especially about the lavender inside. I am able to get back to you quite quickly. (ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BY WOOLY TOPIC FOR THIS IDEA, CREATION AND LISITNG)
