Alaska Grown, I'm a traveler who loves to see new places, cultures, and people. I am an avid talker, reader, gamer, designer, and nurse.
Finding time to craft and design is becoming more of a priority, as I'm discovering new and improved ways to create. I'm living in the Missoula, Montana area at the moment, which is an inspiring and beautiful area. Recently relocating from Fort Collins, CO was a challenge, to say the least, but inspiration comes from everywhere!

Tell us a bit about yourself and Flair For Fanciful ?
I love to create, I love to see and make beautiful things. Flair For Fanciful was a brain child that happened after the encouragement of a friend to learn jewelry crafting.
I fell in love with creating these little things.
I'm a nurse, musician, avid reader, traveler, and student forever. So many things bring joy to my life, and this is one way that I can express a little of the inspiration that others give me.
How did you get started in doing what you do? How long have you been creating?
I am a nurse, and while working during nursing school, a dear friend of mine confessed her passion for jewelry crafting. I was intrigued, intimidated, and needed a creative outlet. That combination sparks an instant "MUST LEARN!" attitude. I started crafting, and now am learning and expanding my craft every day.
Where do you get your inspiration?
My inspiration comes mostly from wandering around places where beautiful stones, beads, and metals are sold, created, or displayed - either on the human body or in a shop. I love to hold and feel stones and metals - ideas pop into my head, and I suddenly have to create them!
What was your first creation? Do you have a favourite?
My first creation was an attempt at a pendant, wire wrapped with some craft wire. The briolette was about 2 cm long - the wire wrapped bit was about 8 cm long. Needless to say - it was pretty awful. I was proud, however, and loved the fact that I could wear something that I crafted. I don't have too many favorites among my creations - although I do have some that I don't really care for.
My current favorite to wear is pictured below. Simple and beautiful stones - matched with a beautiful metal - are so easy to wear!
What have you created recently?
I've started working with more organic and natural stones, which I love. The turquoise pendant below is my newest. Yellow turquoise is so beautiful, and carries springtime colors everywhere you go!
