Here's a quick n' easy in the hoop product that also does well at craft fairs, as gifts, stocking stuffers and online cat toy sales. These adorable little "guppies" are perfect in batches for charities and shelters well.
I put together a quick in the hoop 4 x 4 design,
stitched & stuffed some of these and gave a few away as well as sold some online...They were a hit :)
Almost completely 100% done in-the-hoop - but for the closing stitches
after you stuff with some quality grade catnip and fiberfil and snipping the tail "fins"
7" from nose to tail end...(unless you decide to snip them shorter or use larger fabric pieces - it's up to you)

Do you see the picture? I made those. With a medium-thick 2-sided high quality fleece.
I let the machine run it's course through the design and no second stitching was needed for you to "see" the eyes or the fins.... They turned out exactly as shown and in 3 years or more, that was the first time anyone said they had an issue. PLEASE note: depending on the type and thickness of your fabric and also whether or not you use a backing and also - the type, color and weight of thread you are using.... You may have different results. The results shown in the picture are not photoshopped or altered. This machine embroidery pattern is what it is, what it always has been.
